Sculptural One

 The Sculptural One series uses a variation of the Rare Earth background colors with translucent or opaque color inserts. The images below are, for the most part, in chronological order. I started with single side inserts and additional sculptural elements on the opposite side. That let to stretching the inserts up one side. Then, I got sidetracked and started to incorporate Banzai trees on one or both sides without any inserts. While making adjustments to that concept I was wondering about inserts on both sides of the piece, which let to revisiting other series and including inserts into them. Eventually, I came back to this series, combining double inserts with a twist of the whole piece. Can't wait to see where it's going next...
