Banzai

I named the series Banzai rather than Bonsai, mainly because I  thought it was funny in a (somewhat confusing) way. In Japanese, Banzai literally  means' ten thousand years', often accompanied by 'of life'. These days,  it's used as a shout of elation, but for me, there's a feeling of age, contemplation, and meditation to these trees that goes well with the idea of 10,000  years of life.
